Meet Trish and Jordan! This mother/daughter duo began Restoration Junkies in 2013 as a marketplace for rescued, refined, and repurposed furniture & home decor. After they began making signs from aged pallet wood & taking customer orders for them an idea was born…to offer DIY paint classes where they could teach their skills to others and help them create home decor on reclaimed wood! In the spring of 2013, after their first wood & wine paint class Restoration Junkies became the first studio in NoCo to introduce wood as a medium for painting, and it was a success!
After crafting with repurposed wood pallets and wire spools for years, Restoration Junkies brought their business back to something they had always loved…finding old things and transforming them into something beautiful and functional again! So in addition to wood and wine paint classes, DIY “Junkie” workshops are now offered by Restoration Junkies. These “Junkie” workshops teach participants creative ways to turn architectural salvage pieces and other “junk” like old books, license plates, bed springs, grain sacks, and more into trendy home decor. These truly unique workshops are just one of the ways RJ sets itself apart from others offering DIY classes!
Their vision is to create a relaxed & homey atmosphere for classes and workshops in which attendees can enjoy quiet time for themselves, or fun with friends while enjoying a glass of wine, then leave with a new home decor item that will fit perfect anywhere in their home. Restoration Junkies not only offers classes and workshops but sells unique, handcrafted retail items you’ll enjoy shopping when you visit their studio.
